Finding my groove again

Went to the cabin this weekend and brought my scrap stuff, so glad that I actually got something done..it feels good to scrap again. I'm going to try and create "something" every wk..no more going wks and months w/ out doing something..this is my goal for myself..lets see if i can stick w/ it.

It's always a good time downtown at the parade! Cold at first but after a few green beers you warm right up :) It's always a blast hangin w/ the whole Halsey clan. Thanks Uncle Jack for making sure Summer was front row and able to get a few..beads :)

update on Summer's room

So this is after all of the painting, shampooing, decluttering 5 yrs of toys, and decorating ( minus the stuff i need to put on the walls)..what a big difference, no more tripping on toys every time you walk in her room( now we are doing that in our basement)..lol. she loves it and shes doing a great job of keeping it clean.
Now i just need to figure out what to put on the walls then i can check this bad boy off my list of things to do.( remember to click on the pics to see larger images)

when I havent been working this week I have been busy giving Summer's room a much needed makeover...so James took down the chair rail and tapped everything off for me ( after much coaxing ). then i went to work painting it took 2 gallons of paint to cover those walls...painted the trim. Shampooed the carpets twice because thats how bad they were and tomorrow i need to paint inside the closet and then her furniture is being delivered so then it will be time for the fun part....putting her room back together, and figuring out whats going and whats staying...what a project..ill post after pics to show all my hard work:)

Happy Hearts Day

cant wait to spend the day with my family tomorrow.
We are headed to our cabin for the night since Summer is out of school on mon. we get an extra long weekend..
.looking forward to spending some quality time w/ them since Ive been working so much and the cabins a great place no everyday distractions..just getaway from it all...and be together.

Fri night James and I had a date night, dinner and movie..we saw the new moon..im obsessed with the twilight series and I waited to watch the movie until i finished all the books..its such a great series I would recomend them to anyone who likes a good romance story ( mixed w/ some vampires and werewolves..lol).
We had a good time, he suprised me with a ring in the theater...he mixed in a couple of cheesy lines before he gave it to me..it was cute..

its about time

So I had some days off last week and I made a scrap date w/ myself and I actually stuck with it and Im so glad i did b/c it felt great to get some pgs done...this is what i came up with...


This is my sister in laws baby...isnt she sweet..loved the pics I took and had to do a lo with them. planing on framing this and giving it to her....some time...lol
the next is a super fast wanting to get it done layout of Summers bday from this summer i know im so behind..

and my favorite pic of summer from this fall when she was a flower girl..i couldnt help but to use prima product for this layout..i love how it turned out.

plan to get some more pgs done next week..so we will have to see how that one goes :)

check out what i made for Summers new room, I love how it turned out it matches her new bedding perfect....any suggestions on what color to paint the walls??? I was thinking yellow ( we are played out with pink)

getting the holiday started by doing our new tradition that was started last yr. Going to the tree farm and picking out the perfect tree ( not so perfect this yr we forgot the tape measure and its too short and a little chubby but shh...I dont want to step on any toes, it will have to do)

Hey guys I know its been forever since I last posted, and I don't even know were to start on catching up...I usually post scrap related things on this blog but for the past few months I haven't wanted to scrap...I never thought I would ever say that but I have just needed a break from it I have done a few things but not much, just not feeling it so I figure Ill scrap when Im ready, just too much other stuff going on right now...for those of you who are out of the loop....we have had our house up for sale the last 3 months now and its just so hectic with all the showings and making sure that the house looks have way presentable......

we close on our new house on jan 20th so we are excited about that, we just have our fingers crossed that our house will sell before than...

work has been crazy for me working full time as opposed to only 2-3 days a wk has been kicking my butt....but thats life right??

cant believe thanksgiving has come and gone already and christmas is like 3 wks away...are ya kidding were does the time go?

Hope everyone is staying warm and have a good weekend, ill try and post some pics this weekend of doings thats been going on around here.
