the pic of my mom is of her holding up her $10, 000 winning lotto ticket( so she thought until she read the back and found out it was a prank..hehe, it was to funny. if u havent played that prank on someone, u should you will die laughing..u can get the fake lotto tickets at Spencers).

I have finally gotten around to scrapin Summers bday pics from Aug... better late than never i guess. the other lo is up at the store.

I haven't been into the scrapin mood, first of all its freakin freezing outside, literally as I speak we have a winter advisory out, sleet and freezing rain and snow...........have I said I hated Iowa yet..lol well I do.

So all I have been feeling like doing is curling up on the couch w/ my little heater on and read..which by the way I just got done reading these 2, and if u like love, romance, chick flick kinda books these were a good read.

Can u believe 13 days left until christmas!! Is it me or did it creep on us extra fast this yr...I havent got my xmas cards out yet, still have shopping to do and dont even have all the decorations up this yr...just so much to do in so little time.

Decisions ...Decisions

So I had to decide what i wanted more. A coach bag or the slice from making memories, Ive really had my eye on the slice but then i thought i already have the cricuit ( even though i think it sucks and i dont ever use it, maybe i should take Pennys advice and get more cartridges) and then when it came in the store i thought that it was so cool....and I was planning on getting it, UNTIL I went to williamsburg where they have a coach outlet and I seen this bag ( well ive had my eye on that to) and when I seen it I had to have it..it doesnt help when the sales lady is going on and on about how its really an investment and it will last forever..blah blah but anyway so I guess this is an early xmas gift to myself...

sometimes you just have to play

Seems like I haven't scrapped in a while, I like to blame it on not having the time ( which that has some what to do w/ it) but mostly I haven't b/c I just have not been in the "creative mood".

so i gave it some time and then sat I spent most of the day "playing" painting, embossing, just creating doing something.. and by late that night this is what i had got accomplished.

a day at the apple barn

Its a Halsey tradition that we go to Tanners apple barn ( near Peoria). This place is awesome its worth the hr drive.
There is soo much to do
the big barn full of arts and crafts and homemade yummies ( like apple cider and jams).
kids play area w/ horse rides, corn maze, sand, golf course, and Summers fav. the " blue barrel ride"
feed the goats
have the tractor take you to the apple orchirds
then a ride to the amazing pumpkin patch were you can pick any size pumpkin for 5 bucks.. the rule is if you pick it....you carry it!
this is the perfect place to go to get you in the fall spirt!!

this is what we saw on the drive to the apple barn, we saw them last yr for the 1st time and there were 3x as many as last yr.










this place is mum heaven you cant leave here w/ out picking out one...and for 8.99 you almost have too!
