It was a last min. thing to take Wendy Vecchis maya road mini book class this weekend at Scrapaganza ...check her blog out here..http://studio490art.blogspot.com

This was the 2nd scrapbooking class I have ever took ( I just perfer to make my own things) but I wouldnt call it scrapbooking, it was more like making art. I LOVED it and learned so much about grunge paper and stamping....I was so inspired to make ART that I made the altered picture frame w/ my leftover scraps......both of these peices are displayed in my scrap room and every time i look at them my heart smiles..guess thats what arts all about ;)

Happy Anniversary Baby!! Its been 5 yrs of , hard times, good times, and just plain craziness at times, but I wouldnt have it any other way. All the disputes and disagreements we have learned from and have overcome. This past yr has been one of the best, we've come to understand one another, let the little things go and just be happy w/ one another,

Your my best friend, I love spending quality time w/ you I love when we have good conversations, I love that we share the same goals in life, I just love you for being you!

LOVE LOVE

I love love Prima..they freakin rock EVERYTHING...love these new "sew" cute pgs ( you can buy them w/ all the sewing done...easier on me, I like that) and that flower vine oh my with these 2 products that could make any lo gorgeous...

I made the flowers on this page, look for a class coming soon ( speaking of a class Im in the process of making a mini book using burlap, that class will be coming soon as well..Ill post pics soon.

1st field trip

Summers preschool class ( am and pm class) had a little field trip to Vandaveer conservatory today...it was to cute.

they got a tour, planted there very own "pansy" flower and got to play at the park afterward..they had a blast.... her teachers are awesome :)

Weekday Getaway

We decided to skip town early thurs and do what I like to call being a tourist in your own backyard..we drove an hr away to Dubuque and did some exploring.

since it ended up being a nice day we took our picnic lunch down by the river and ate. Then we spent the night at the grand harbor resort, which was alot of fun for Summer, it was actually her first time staying in a hotel and she just got a kick out of it, she said " I wish we lived here"...ya gotta laugh at that. then the next morning we went to the mines of spain ( which i guess is an area landmark) and had another picnic lunch there then hiked one of the many trails. could only hike 1/2 mile w/ summer ( james had to give her a piggyback ride on the way back).

We spent about 3hrs exploring the aquarium and museum and


it was a nice getaway but im still in need of a REAL vaca ...ive got my eye out and hopefully i can come across a good deal so just mom and dad can skip town and play :)

my first layout of the month ( actually it may be the first in about 3wks..its been that long). I used the new Making Memories Flower Patch line ( I think) love it, very feminine and love the soft colors. Theres nothing better than getting new product to get you in the creative mood. hopefully I can do some more scrappin this wk..if I can ever find some time. Have a good week.

Today

I'm off for the next 2 days and Im really wanting to get some scrapin done, it seems like I havent had the time and when I do im just not feeling it...I got my camera out yesterday for the first time since christmas i think, thats way to long....maybe i should have done the project 365 just to keep my butt on track..lol
i have a hard time taking pics inside....i think today im going to head to the river since its going to be 40degrees ...yes it will feel like spring ( weve been in the teens lately..really sucks) so anyway go and try to get some good pics of the bald eagles that are always around this time of yr. So ill post pics if i get any good ones

IM EXHAUSTED

OMG Ive worked 25 hrs in the last 2 days....fri we went to Disney on ice and I forgot my camera..darn it..it was cute...I liked Nemo on ice better, just b/c it was 1 story not 4 short story's.

sat worked 8.5 hrs then tonight i just worked 16.5..im beat..but im just trying to get ahead ya know...time to to get that lot paid off...plus u dont know whats gonna happen in the days ahead...scary...time to be pinchin pennys ;)

Im off to check the blog world then off to sleep....finally

A layout for THE STORY MATTERS.. the challenge what do you struggle with and since there are so many tings that I seem to struggle w/ the hardest thing was to choose which struggle to scrap ..lol

It's My Bday

Another yr older and hopefully a little wiser..lol
Today I am 26 and Im cool w/ that , Im ok w/ that number ( now when it becomes 29 I might start freakin a little).
It's been a good yr Im blessed and thank God for another yr at life.
Im thankful to still be young and have a whole lot of living to do, there are so many things I want to do and so many places that I want to visit. I need to make a list of things I want to do get accomplished..so here is a start ( hey I should make this into a scrap pg)
